look what we got in our backyard....

One night we were casually eating our dinner outside on our beautiful patio set and we noticed a little bird on our fence hopping with a mouth full of small branches and she hopped right into the Daddy bear (we have 3 bushes in the backyard that we planted at the same time, and weirdly enough one grew giant, another smaller, and a really small one hence the Daddy, Mama, and baby bear names) bush in our backyard, right next to the tree....so a few days later, I wanted to see the progress on the nest and this is what I found...

Here are the eggs....we have left the nest alone since I found the eggs, I am scared to check in case mama bird doesn't want to be with them after we watch them.

Coloring Eggs and Decorating Cookies

So Easter weekend was here and I hadn't done our traditional coloring of Eggs. So, I got Keira down for her nap (didn't want to have her spill all the coloring on herself like her big sister), and the kids, Grandma, and I colored eggs. Not nearly as exciting as it usually is, I kindof felt rushed....anyway, doesn't matter anyway as the kids had fun and that is what matters to me.
Chloe really loved doing this.

When Keira woke up, we decided to decorate cookies. I wanted to send some with Caleb to school (they had school on Good Friday and were having a picnic). Here are the cookies that each kid got to decorate.....

Ummmm.....Keira's finished product - she started out with 3 and ended up with this....
Again, we had fun and that is what matters.

Sunday School Easter Egg Hunt

So, we went to our Sunday School Easter Egg hunt on a VERY windy day, it was humorous as everything was blowing away and it started quickly to get chilly. We ended up having to eat our dinner in phases so that the food sitting on the plate wouldn't fly away....that would have been tragic.... Sadly, for all, most people ate, grabbed their eggs, let the kids play, and went home...not much socializing was done..but I did get some cute pictures (my battery was charged)

Love My Kids!!!! Adorable!!!

Crazy Hair day...

Since it was snowing outside, we had crazy hair day....the girls thought it was fun....

Crazy hair, bad hair, whatever they do, they sure are cute :)

Spring Break take 2

We went to the grass maze one day it is one of Caleb's favorite places to go.....notice the windy conditions and the t-shirts.....

Two days later.....that is right after t-shirts and the park, we woke up to this.....crazy at the end of March...

This morning was very windy and cold, so we stayed outside long enough to get a few pictures and they were wet and cold so we went inside.

Spring Break

We decided to stay home for Spring Break, much to my disliking, I had all these ideas from going on a 5 state trip, to going to see my family in Florida. But here we are, at home, but we did have fun. The events are in no particular order.....We went to the zoo - thanks to our passes, it was a free day (minus the cost of gifts at the end) and it was fun. There were quite a few people there (not as bad as half price day with Rick and Kristi in July), but we managed to find some cool places to look at animals. The tiger was actually out and walking around (this is a first for us all year). Funny enough, the stroller was used mainly by Caleb....go figure....
My camera was out of battery, so I have very few pictures to share....had to take the battery out and put it back in to get one picture. It made me enjoy the day with the kids instead of with my camera - I think I won :)
Cute, eh?
Lunchtime, we brought a simple lunch and ate in the kids area. The table next to us brought a huge lunch and I was really hoping they would ask us to join them because their food looked WAY better. We had to settle with our PB&J sandwiches....
Not the greatest picture, I know, but it is cute nonetheless...the only shot I could get in the time I had (remember, between pictures, I had to pull the battery out and put it back in in order to get a picture - the kids weren't in on waiting for the camera).
We had fun as a family and that is what mattered, right?

The Girls' new room

Here are the pictures....finally. The girls room is complete. This view is inside the room looking at the closet.
Here we are standing by the closet looking at the door that goes out to the rest of the house.
Standing at the door looking into the room...
And finally, my favorite wall, the wall you see when you walk into the room. The polka dots turned out great. I actually painted the profile picture hanging up, aren't you impressed? The girls love their new room and I had SOO much fun putting it together...
Chloe helped out with the painting...this picture should have been at the beginning, but I did it wrong....
A big change, don't you think?
Caleb's room, coming up....
