Saturday night...

Saturday night (after Chloe's build a bear party, actual party, and presents) we went to the Purple Cow for dinner. I had this great idea because right outside off the patio, there is a splash pad, and I was looking forward to letting the kids play in the water and mom and dad and Josh and I getting to talk and watch the kids play. Well, instead, there was a Jazz concert going on, which wasn't half bad, but the kids were slightly disappointed that they couldn't get wet. But, they did fine eating knowing that we would go to get ice cream and play at the grass maze afterwards...

After we got done eating, we went to the grass maze and let the kids play. I finally got a good picture of the kids with my mom and dad.
After the grass maze, we went to Cold Stone and had ice cream....yummy...after that, we all crashed at home...

Birthday Party

We celebrated Keira's birthday late and Chloe's birthday early so that Grandpa and Grandma could be there for both birthdays. We had the party at Metroplex Gymnastics where Chloe does Gymanstics. I got a great deal on the party and the kids had a great time...here are some pics of the kids...
Bella
Keira loved this, until they dropped her in the foam block pit, then the tears began...

Caleb getting in on the action...he is going to try out gymnastics this month and see if he likes it.

Keira was loving life...she had a blast and I think this is a great picture.

the zip line
this was a much better alternative to the hanging swing...
When we got home (after cupcakes -had pictures, but apparently they didn't make it on here and I hate having to try and move them around so they are in the right order...sorry that you can't see them), the girls opened their presents. Chloe got 4 barbies....apparently this is the year for the girls to get barbies...she was thrilled with it.
She also loved the purple dress that Grandma made for her.
The Sandbox was for both girls from their mom and dad and it is a big hit.
Keira got a pink dress from Grandma
The bounce house is from both sets of grandparents and has been very useful in this heat!

Grandma's Birthday

We got to have mom here for her big 60th birthday. We had a nice lunch and cupcakes with her to celebrate.

The kids played outside with Mr. Cuddles.... and we relaxed until the carnival...again, I am out of order...but the pictures are cute :)

Grandma reading

So, I am completely out of order, after the Alpha Wolf assembly, we went back to Caleb's classroom where Grandma read a Dr. Suess book to the class. After that we took Caleb home (as long as they are in school until 10, they are considered present) to spend the day (Grandma's birthday) with Grandpa and Grandma.

Saturday with Grandpa and Grandma

Saturday morning Chloe had a birthday party that we just couldn't miss at Build a Bear....here are some pictures from the party...

stuffing her bear
all stuffed :)
giving it a bath - by the way, it's name is Ashley
All dressed up an ready to go!

School Carnival

Friday night, we went to the school carnival where Caleb and his classmates were able to joust with their teacher, Mrs. Tillett. Chloe wanted in on the action which surprised me b/c there were so many people around watching....but she got up there and did it....Mrs. Tillett was nice to her too....
Caleb had his turn and he did great.....didn't quite use the joust stick correctly, but he had fun
Notice Mr. Cuddles, he joined us at the carnival. He is the "prize" the kids get to take when they receive the alpha wolf award. They have to journal about what they did during the weekend with Mr. Cuddles
jump houses

face painting

and last, but certainly not least, pucker powder....it was a once in a lifetime opportunity for the kids as what that stuff did to them I will never put myself through again...I have NEVER seen my wonderful children act the way they did after eating this sugar laced with coke or something....they were so crazy......but they had fun and slept well that night.

Alpha Wolf - take 2

Well, Caleb received the Alpha Wolf award on the same week that Grandma and Grandpa were visiting! I am so proud of him. He certainly has had a great year and definitely deserves this award. Mom and Dad arrived late on Thursday night and had to get up and get over to the school for an OH SO long assembly. Caleb received his award, then each group of teachers performed a lip sync for the kids....long and drug out, but the kids loved it. Caleb had fun with Mario (They were allowed to bring a stuffed animal this day) dancing and playing while the teachers did their thing....
We love having Grandpa and Grandma here.....It is so much fun now that the kids remember them and it takes no time warming up to them.

Stay tuned for more fun activities with Grandpa and Grandma!
