The zoo

One of the many things the kids wanted to do before we move was go to the zoo....So, on Thursday, we packed a lunch and a change of clothes and headed to the zoo with our friends Jacob and Emma. We met our friend Bailey and her grandma there. Here are some fun pictures of our time there.
A group picture
Caleb and Bailey leading the herd.

hugging the gorillas...

After and amazing lion demonstration which I failed to take pictures of, but trust me it was amazing, we went to the kids area where they could play and get wet (hence the need for a second set of clothes...) We had lunch and us moms got to relax while the kids played and wore themselves out.

Bailey's grandma treated the kids to a carousel ride at the very end....

As hot as it was (at least 100), we had a great time and were so glad to get to go....

Fourth of July

The Fourth was an amazing day!!! We started at Grandpa and Grandma Lunn's house on their waterslide and had a great lunch.

Cousins Victoria and Bella, and second cousins Luke and Zach
A craft of making t-shirts - didn't they turn out great? Enjoy the clean faces and shirts now, because it is going to get worse....
Victoria and Bella spent the night with us so we took them to our church's celebration....we had a picnic and gatorade - red so as to go along with the day - you know red, white, and blue...trying to be patriotic...
if you look closely, they all have red moustaches and most have spilled some on thier shirts..

there were bounce houses and live music - lots of fun
waiting for the fireworks....

the kids had a great time and slept like angels, they were pretty tired after a long day, but it was worth it....

catching up.....again......

Not much more to say but keeping cool has become our top priority these past few weeks.....Grandpa and Grandma's water slide has certainly made it fun :)

This is our new friend Bailey - she and her dad (Dave was in our wedding) came to visit. The kids had a blast with her and we can't wait for them to come and visit us in Colorado...

Purple Cow in Allen
Snow cones are always a hit on a hot day....

Fourth of July is up next....stay tuned...
