Gymnastics Update

This week the parents were allowed to come into the gym and take pictures of the girls during practice. So, I took my camera and went to work. I couldn't use my flash and have not mastered the movement in pictures (any suggestions?), so I apologize for any blurry pictures.

Here they are doing their high kicks...
attempting to walk on her hands...
Handstand into front roll... this is the front roll part...
roundoff...
cartwheel
back roll into pike position
Beam work....

once she realized I was taking her picture, she looked at me when performing her stunts....not sure that is what she is supposed to be doing..
tuck jump - she landed all of these too...
split jump
this is part of the beam routine they are working on...
V sit
after the v sit, they kick their legs back to the top of the beam and land in a pike postition.

Handstand dismount.....
rock wall play time...
Here is the group of girls she has been training with the past 7 months. Chloe and Kami - the two in the middle - are staying at this level while the others are moving up to the next level. I honestly think that Chloe is super close to moving up and at the end of the summer they are going to reevaluate her. She is the youngest and has been in the least amount of time, so it is pretty accurate that she stay where she is.
2020 Olympics...? She loves gymnastics, and she is good at it, so whatever happens, as long as she is happy, so are we :)

May.....

So, I totally thought I had not taken pictures at the Mason's house until I uploaded more pics on my camera. So, here is the rest of our Easter pics. We had a fabulous lunch with friends and the kids had fun with the egg hunt....

The hosts of the party....
The second grade put on a musical performance, poor Caleb was all stuffed up and didn't get to sing his solo....or rather opted out of it because he thought he sounded funny (I'm not gonna lie, he totally sounded funny). He had come home early that day with a stomachache, so I applaud him for even going that night...
Caleb joined the Landsharks running club and he did great. He wasn't the fastest, but he had a great attitude and did his best....
Halie running too.
Field day fun....my camera wasn't sure how to handle all the light....

The kids had a character award assembly...

Chloe got the caring award - perfect for her 100%

Caleb got the fairness award - perfect for him...

Today we got to watch the Thunderbirds do an air show for the Air Force graduation. Pretty Spectacular!!

We have a very busy summer ahead of us, so if I stay on top of it, you will enjoy the summer with us, otherwise, see you in the Fall when things settle down!!

Easter Fun

Annual decorating eggs......no huge mishaps this year...they are getting old enough to be pretty careful...

Caleb named his eggs Ben, Isaiah, Caleb, and Bob....
After church on Easter, we took some pictures....looking our best in our Easter clothes..

These kids are growing up too fast!!!

After pictures we went to Paul and Sarah's house along with about 70 other people and had a huge Easter dinner. I didn't bring my camera, so you will just have to imagine how amazing it was. Happy Easter and Praise God we have a Savior to celebrate!!!
