Spring Break - photo shoot....

I'm afraid when we move to Colorado, I will be taking a ton of pictures...so many amazing places to take pictures. Here are some of my favorites of my three amazing kids!

Spring Break - campfire time!

SMORES...need I say more?
Caleb hated being too close...oh the things we do for a smore...

Good time had by all....perfect weather, perfect fire, perfect company, and perfect smores!!!!

Spring Break - Focus on the Family

So, two years ago we went to Focus on the Family and Caleb LOVED it. As a matter of fact, when I told him we were going to move to Colorado, he said, "as long as we live close to that fun place (Focus)". So, we had to go back. I took a picture of Caleb and Chloe here in this little tunnel last year, so I had to take another....this time with Keira.

the movie room
the theatre room where you can dress up as the kids from Adventures in Odyssey and act out stuff...there was also a reading corner and a puppet corner. The kids had a blast....
Grandma and Grandpa Lunn were there with us...

Probably the best part of the place that the kids liked - well Caleb and Chloe were tall enough to go down this slide....it was probably about 3 stories high....you could hear Caleb all the way down the slide...so I knew when to take the picture, and then Chloe was after him, so I could get one of her too :)
They LOVED it.
After sliding, we had some ice cream at Whit's End...
outside Whit's End...
Again, another attraction that we may drag any of you to when you come visit :)

Spring Break - walk to the park

So, Paul and Sarah's house backs up to a HUGE state park with great walking trails and so one day while Halie was in school, we took the kids for a walk to the park....of course I was all up for taking some pictures of the kids....
Keira has this new thing with putting her hands together by her face when she gets her picture taken.
Austin wanted to wear this "hat", but it was a chip bowl, so cute :)
some fun pictures on the trail

Yes, we did go to the park with slides and swings and monkey bars, but I guess I didn't get any pictures of that :) Fun times at the park...or on the trail anyway...

Spring Break - Woodland Park

On Wednesday after the zoo, we headed up to Woodland Park to visit our friends, Nate and Amanda and their kids Nathan, Sammy, Jaden, and Jackson. We stayed with them two years ago when we went to Colorado.
We went to the park to let the kids play and had a great time. Josh and Nate have been friends since childhood so it was nice to catch up with them.
Caleb, Nathan, and Sammy played so well together and had a great time....we look forward to seeing more of them soon.

Spring Break - the zoo

So we decided last minute to go to the zoo before we headed out to Woodland Park to see our friends Nate and Amanda. We didn't leave near enough time to go all over the zoo, so we each picked an animal to go see. Chloe picked the giraffe, of which there were a bunch of AND we got to feed them...so cool. I know you can do that at several zoos now, but this is the first time the girls were at all interested and wanted to do it (Caleb has never and probably never will be interested - somewhat like his mom).
We bought these crackers and stupidly gave the giraffe the entire cracker right away...would have been nice to break it and spread the feeding around a little....lesson learned...
Check out the tongue on that giraffe...Keira was thrilled that he licked her...then was done and didn't want to have anything to do with them...
Chloe however, was facinated by the giraffes and didn't want to leave....we bought her a giraffe charm necklace that was so cute, the chain broke pretty quickly, so we have to get her a new chain, and when we do, I doubt we will be able to get her to take it off.

I chose the lions and was thrilled that they were out. In Dallas, they are always hiding in the shade, so you can never see them.
This is just random, there was this peacock walking around the monkey building....would have been cool to to see him spread his feathers...

Caleb chose the penguins who were quite boring to watch, they must have been getting ready to take a nap or something, they din't move...can they sleep standing up???maybe they were already asleep....
Every building we went into smelled really bad.....you know like animals....so I couldn't resist taking this picture.
Keira and Josh chose the monkeys. They were probably the most entertaining as always. This was a mom, and her baby, we stayed and watched them play for quite awhile.
This guy cracked me up, looks like the glass was cool or something and he was hot...
Just chillin!
Again, can't wait to go back and check the whole zoo out!
