Chloe's 6th Birthday

Chloe celebrated her birthday a week late.....Grandma McGregor was here, so Chloe was happy to wait. Unfortunately, the party was cut short. We met at a park and dark clouds were looming. The kids played at the park until everyone arrived. I snapped a few pictures of the kids playing.
This is Tyler, Chloe's BFF, she adores him and I am pretty sure the feelings are mutual (according to his mom)....awww sweetness....

So, then we rushed the kids over to do the pinata...which was a huge hit as always....

notice the head is gone? yep, we never have much luck with pinatas, but we rigged the headless unicorn up to finish him off...
getting ready for cake....

the wind did not let us light the candle, but we sure tried.
pretending to blow out the candle, although I'm pretty sure you can tell she is pretending since she is looking at me...
YUM
here is the best picture I got of the group....
Reagan enjoying her cupcake...
Mom, it is cold....
Twins, Emma and Colleen - they are going camping with us this summer, you will definitely see more of them...
Tyler again...
After the cupcakes, we got presents and opened them quickly, it was starting to sprinkle...

Anathyn
this picture is adorable of Aubrey
We waited till we got home to open Grandmas present...
Back up a few days, this is Chloe's actual birthday opening presents from family....

This is from Aunt Cindy, Uncle Jeremy, Victoria and Bella - a new rug for her room.
She also got a camera from Grandpa and Grandma Lunn which I think was definitely one of her favorite gifts. I am going to post a whole post with some of her pictures, but I need to get her a memory card so she can take more than 5 pictures...

So...as I always do, I need to let you know 6 things I LOVE about Chloe:

1. She is always smiling and happy (well, most of the time)
2. She is very helpful to me and others...always willing to lend a helping hand
3. She is very independent and can pretty much take care of herself (love that and it makes me sad that she doesn't need me in that capacity as much)
4. She is strong and determined to do just about anything set before her.
5. She loves Jesus and has a heart for Him
6. and finally, she is creative, thoughtful, and oh so generous.

Love you Chloe and I am so glad that God decided I needed a girl. You have the drive and determination to accomplish anything you want to. I am so proud of you and thankful that you are who you are. Don't ever change for anyone!

Grandma's here!!!

Grandma arrived on Wednesday night, and the fun has begun. Grandma brought some crafts for us to do or as she put it, "watch her do" (this one was too hard for the girls to do, so she did it herself, however the girls were happy to model them for her). She bought flip flops and material and made them very cute flip flops. They will be wearing them to church on Sunday, so I will post pics of them modeling their new shoes.
Chloe also put a request in for Grandma to teach her how to crochet....so apparently she is a pro....I will also post pics of the scarf she is making - yes, my 6 year old is crocheting a scarf....She is picking it up much faster than I am....
Keira just likes to watch...

Chloe got the movie Dolphin Tale for her birthday and Grandma hadn't seen it, so they had a movie night...Grandma approved of the movie :)
On Friday, we had playgroup, and Grandma played a game with the girls before we went.
Oh, yeah, Caleb is around too...just not interested in the crafts or Dolphin Tale....
Fun at the park with Grandma

Picnic fun....
Lots more pics to post, so stay tuned :)
