Chloe's 5th birthday party

After the fun run, we went home, relaxed, and got ready for Chloe's birthday party. The hourly weather forecast called for rain at like 5 and the party started at 3...I was super concerned about getting rained out, but thank God (seriously, thank you God) that it didn't rain and it was nice and humid, so the water felt good to the girls...They had a blast playing in the water.

After swimming, we did a craft. We painted ceramic flip flop trinket boxes...very cute and the girls were so careful to pain them so detailed...I think they really liked it.
Then there was cake....or rather cupcakes....The little girl sitting with Chloe is Maria, Keira and Chloe met her at the gym and I heard about her ALL the time and finally met her mother, so we invited her to the party and we were so excited that she was able to come. They had a blast playing with each other.
She gets a little shy being the center of attention...
does a great job blowing her candles out...
and thoroughly enjoyed her cupcake....
then on to PRESENTS!!! Caleb got her a game for her DS that all 4 grandparents went in to get her...and she loves very much (both her grandparents and her DS)
Cousins Bella and Victoria got her a Barbie Vet which was the first present to be opened and the first present to be played with this morning, she loves this present - great job girls!!
After the party, the family stayed to have a cookout and the girls all got to play together. It was such a great day and I really think Chloe had an amazing time with her friends and her family. Thank you to all who have a part in her life....

Fun Run

So the Iron Men of God put on a 5k and family fun run on Saturday. Caleb, Chloe, and I ran the fun run - 1 mile. Jacob, Caleb's friend also ran with us....
Grandpa, Grandma, and Keira came along to cheer for us.
And we're off...Caleb and all the little kids decided to sprint the start....
Chloe and I held hands for awhile, but that got hard, so we let go.
Finishing strong...Chloe ran the ENTIRE way. I was very proud of her. Caleb, since he sprinted the beginning, had to walk a little, but still did an awesome job! Loads of fun
With their ribbons....Hopefully this will be the first of many fun runs we get to do with the kids...probably should invest in some better shoes for them though...

Alpha Wolf

My sweet boy was the student of the week this week....My Alpha Wolf....
So proud...

Grandpa Lunn's birthday

Happy Birthday Grandpa Lunn
We celebrated by having dinner, dessert, presents, and having fun with the family. I think the best part of the night for me was that all 5 kids left the table and played together leaving the adults to talk without interruption for like 30 minutes!!!
So glad we have such an amazing man in our lives!!!

Chloe's Spring Program

Chloe has been going to preschool all year and has LOVED it. Today we got to see what she has learned in her movement class this year. Here are some cute pictures of her....

They did this exercise with a song that was super cute, got them moving and they all loved doing it.
They did lots of cool things with balloons...
This is her class and her teachers.
She has had an amazing year and I am so proud of her, can't believe that she is going to be starting Kindergarten!! I think that is going to be super hard for me, she is my buddy and I am not ready to share her every day with someone else....pray for me :)

Six Flags

So, for Mother's Day, we headed to Six Flags over Texas. Caleb and Chloe had never been to an amusement park and I swear if I could have bought them more energy, they could have lasted the entire day....their little bodies just aren't ready for a 10 hour day of riding rides...
Regardless, we had a blast and I am sure the older they get, the longer they will last. I have to confess, I love amusement parks.
This ride, however, was not the best way to start a long day of rides....I love roller coasters, but am not a big fan of the rides that make you dizzy. Luckily, we didn't spin too much and it didn't bother me too much.

The girls waiting for Caleb and Uncle Jeremy to get off the ride - can't remember what the name of it was, but I will always remember the look on Caleb's face as he came down the hill - sheer terror and excitement all wrapped up in one...he was the only one of the kids tall enough to ride this ride.
Basically, this ride took you up backwards, then down straight, turned you upside down a few times then did it all again backwards. I think the boys are in the fourth row from the back (halfway up the hill).
Caleb, Jeremy, and I went to Rockin Rocket (not a great choice right after eating) very much like ocean motion at Cedar point except it turns you all the way upside down and you hang there for a few seconds and then go all the way around a couple of times....The girls went on some smaller rides while they waited for us to get done.
not really sure what this is, but the girls wanted their picture taken with it...
The day was amazing, but very tiring and hot....I think the kids would have loved to get in this water and splash around for a little bit....
Thanks Jeremy and Cindy for letting us tag along on your mother's day outing, we had a blast!

Spring Fling

Friday night we had the Spring Fling at Caleb's school. It is a huge carnival for the kids. We started out with the wax hands and even though Caleb didn't like doing it, he loves his new wax hand (also a very attractive addition to the decor in the house....)Chloe and Caleb both did it, and of course, I didn't take a picture of the finished product...
They had to cool their hand then dip it in the wax and do that 4 times, then the guy pulled it off and colored it whatever color they wanted it... Chloe got pink and purple, and Caleb got red....funny how the red and pink were the same :) - one just called it red and the other called it pink...

Then we went and got cotton candy....full of sugar.....they ate every single bite of it.....
Now full of sugar, we went outside to the bounce houses and mazes....where they ran off most of their energy..

Caleb got to joust with his Kindergarten teacher and he LOVED it.
Grandpa and Grandma Lunn came along to enjoy the crowd and craziness, apparently I wasn't a great photographer because I didn't take many pictures, but I think you get the idea....
