Pictures with Santa

Couldn't resist sharing this with you. Classic picture with my favorite Santa. Keira clearly didn't like the guy, but the other kids were okay with him. Caleb told Santa that he wanted a teddy bear or a DS....Chloe got shy and when Santa asked her, she said teddy bear, so I was quick to remind her that she wanted to ask Santa for a Princess bike or a new doll....I NEEDED them to ask for certain things so I made sure that they got their wishes in, so they would be properly granted. This is a picture of a picture, so the quality is not that great.
We also went to the dollar store and let the kids pick out presents for each other. That was fun, I will post pictures of them wrapping the presents later...we still need to wrap them :)

Making Christmas Cards

Monday night, we made Christmas cards. I let the kids use my "good" stuff and they made cards for three of their friends. Chloe made a card for Halie and Lane (who she says she is going to marry).
Keira was determined to use my good markers, I tried to get her to use the washable ones, but she knew the difference and wasn't having ANYTHING to do with the "not good" ones....
Caleb made cards for CJ, Alex, and his best friend, himself....he wrote a card that said "to Caleb from Caleb".
We had fun making the cards and they are almost all posted and ready to go out to our friends...

The Mall

okay, so we went to the mall today with the intention of getting an Angel from the Angel tree, well, that didn't happen. Although, I did look at some of them and nearly started crying as most of them Needed a coat. I LOVE coats and have so many of them. I am so thankful that God has blessed me with all I could ever need. I am still planning on having the kids do something in the way of giving to others, we just decided Angel Tree wasn't for us this year. Here are some pictures of our time at the mall...
Josh and Keira entertained each other....
Caleb never gets to go to the mall, so he was thrilled to be able to play.
Keira gets her cute on.....
Chloe...we did her hair wacky today...I know, not very wacky, but she thought it was.
A trip to this mall isn't worth it unless you take a ride on the train. The kids love riding on the train and they wave all the way around....

Game night

Tonight (the 3rd) was game night. We started by doing a foam gingerbread house (very easy and not too messy)....The kids loved it. They made a pattern on the roof and we put glitter all over the house.
Keira is a little mad that she can't participate....not quite old enough for the wii and board games. We tried to play some board games (monkey'n around, candy land castle, and hi ho cherry-o), however, she was more interested in playing with the pieces instead of playing the game.
Our neighbor, Kendall, came to spend the evening with us, the kids had fun playing the wii, especially since normally, the wii is off limits on weeknights.
Dad and Caleb have a game of golf. I think Dad won...
Practicing his swing....
Another fun night!!!
Tomorrow night (the 4th) is our Sunday School Christmas party, and the kids are going to spend the night at Grandma's house, so they will be excited about that.

Advent calendar activity

So, for our first day of the advent calendar, we went out to eat and Caleb got to pick where we ate. So, he chose Sonic.
We ordered and ate in the car....the kids did great not making a mess

Although, the car smelled like burgers and the next day one of the mints left over tasted a little like a burger, we had fun and are all excited to do our family activities this month.

Tree pictures

Here are the annual by the tree pictures, I KNOW you all have been waiting for......the kids are just too cute, I know....

Just want to gobble them up!

Thanksgiving, Texas style

Happy Thanksgiving!!! We spent a wonderful day at Grandpa and Grandma Lunn's house, ate way too much, played with the kids, and attempted to get some family pictures. Here are the results......
Apparently, I wasn't near as interesting as whatever they all were looking at.....
Still trying to get a good family picture....

The Lunn family....a good looking bunch, don't you think????
We had a great day, hope you did too!

A day at the zoo with Grandma

Monday we went to the zoo with Grandma. Josh took the day, well, actually he has the whole week off, so we decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and go to the zoo (plus, we have a year long pass, so it was free). It was a FABULOUS day to go, the kids were GREAT and the weather was perfect. There was hardly anyone there, so it made it so nice to not have to worry so much about where the kids were all the time.
The kids decide where to go first.
Keira is just happy she isn't in the stroller and she loves to run!
Family picture...like the cast?
Okay, so I have been to the zoo several times, but we have never ventured over to this side where there are....penguins....who'd a thought there would be penguins here. This was my favorite, the kids loved it too, the penguins came right up to the glass where we were standing...very cool
We then went on a "safari"...well, when we were done, I was slightly disappointed....after all, the first ever safari I went on was in Africa....this one was a bit disappointing...no lions, giraffes, or elephants, just variations of zebras, deer, and cats....don't get me wrong, it was nice to sit and let the monorail take us through the zoo, but the animal selection wasn't what I was expecting. The kids thought it was pretty cool, so I was glad that we went.

After the "safari", we went to the kid's area. This is their favorite place for several reasons, there is a little stream that they love to play in (not today though, it was too cold), a slide, and a big spider web. Here are some great pics of the kids from the kids area....
A rare picture of Caleb and Keira.

Don't we do great work?
Eating lunch

Heading to see the monkeys, giraffes, elephants and any other animal on this side of the zoo.

Keira imitating the monkeys

Chloe helping Keira see the elephants
Of course, we can't leave the zoo without stopping at the gift shop. Apparently, things are a lot cheaper in the fall and winter....Chloe got the mask, Caleb got a "yoo hoo".... and Keira got a stuffed frog...she didn't want to be in the picture.
Can't tell you how much fun we had today. I am sure the kids had fun too. Thanks Grandma for coming with us and getting the kids their souvenirs to commemorate their trip to the zoo with Grandma Lunn.
