Two weeks in Colorado

Sit back, relax, and enjoy with me the beautiful pictures of what soon will be life as we know it. We were lucky enough to take two weeks and head up to Colorado to spend some time in the cooler temperatures and let Josh and Paul get their business stuff taken care of (I am certain that it will never ALL be taken care of EVER). Josh had to take a test for his insurance license, so we all hiked up there in our new Expedition and had a great time. We went hiking a few times, hit a couple of very yummy ice cream shops, scrambled around to see the Mavericks win the NBA championships (VERY exciting), went to the Y and swam several times (the kids LOVED this), went to playgrounds, did VBS, looked at houses, and really had a great time. Here are some pictures of what we did....and what YOU will get to do when you come to visit :)

This is a lake part of the way up the mountain we were hiking on...none of us had a very good shoes on, so needless to say, we didn't go check out the other two lakes on the way up the mountain.

Paul and Sarah's house backs up to this trail that leads to a park....
this is Austin

We went for ice cream on Halie's birthday. The kids stood on these benches and tried to get the cars to honk at them...Keira is pumping her arm at the cars...
this might become a yearly tradition, to take pictures in front of the ice cream cone...
some cute shots of my two older ones...

off to the park....

Halie stops to write in her observation journal...
yes, this is how we get to the park in Colorado....on a trail (okay, that isn't how all of them are, but it is cool to say that)

Halie takes hiking seriously.
drink break
fun pictures on a fairly easy hike, with lots of HUGE rocks to climb on.

strong kids holding up the rock....or is that a t-rex

while we were in Colorado, we sold our house PRAISE THE LORD!! we also found a house to rent for a year which is great because we aren't really sure what or where we want to officially end up. So, we are super excited to move, very amazed and humbled by God's amazing timing and grace. As I sit here typing at the only home our kids have ever known, I am excited, sad, nervous, thrilled, just a bunch of mixed up emotions. We have so much to be excited about, and even more to be sad about, however, we have the most to be thrilled about because of the peace that we have in moving our family away from everything familiar to start a new chapter in our lives. One that will be filled with new memories and new friends - NEVER forgetting what we leave behind, but looking forward to the amazing adventure we are about to embark on. The Lord has opened this door to us and we are marching through it with open hearts and minds excited to see what He calls us to do.

Welcome to our journey, I hope you will follow us and experience it with us!
