Rainy day and baseball

So, as most of you know (since most of you are my family, and Ryan's too), Ryan and his family have made a goal to see all 50 capitals. So, part of their reason to come to Colorado was to see the capital....a very small part I am sure :)

It was raining when we went, but we still got their picture outside....
the kids on the grand staircase....

I will let Jennifer blog about the history and exciting things we saw (don't want to steal her thunder AND I didn't take many other pictures...).

Getting a closer look with Uncle Ryan
Another of my brother's favorite things is baseball...so we headed to see the Nationals play the Rockies. It was great to head to Denver and escape the smoke from the fires....

eating our hot dogs before the game...
heading into the stadium

the kids were not thrilled about the seats as we were sitting directly in the sun, but thank goodness the sun set by the 3rd inning and then it was quite pleasant...
Caleb was so happy to have his cousin here..they went exploring with Uncle Ryan...

and the girls got cotton candy...

hadn't seen a sunset like this in awhile, so that was very refreshing.

Having a ton of fun with our cousins!!!
