Pool Fun

The pool room was well used this Christmas....it is the only room in the house that could hold everyone at one time for meals. So, every night we ate in the pool room, generally followed by some swimming. Here the boys are waiting for dinner to be served.
Mom serving up her meal....
here is a rough picture of what the room looked like when everyone was eating.

Not sure why the next two pictures are vertical....they were horizontal when I put them in, don't hurt your neck looking at them.

Keira LOVED the water....she was fearless and only jumped in once without her floaties on....yes, Josh was fully clothed and went in after her....immediately...she was fine, just a little scared, but quickly put her floaties on and jumped back in...nothing will stop her...

LOVE the POOL!!!

Kids' Christmas

So, watching the kids open presents was clearly more entertaining than the adults as I had literally 100 pictures to choose from. I hope I got everyone....

Of course, we always start with my favorite Christmas tradition - the Christmas story...this year, Carly read the story and she did a great job. It is amazing how the kids sit and listen while they are so excited about opening their presents...
The previous night, the kids opened their pajama present from Grandma, this is the next morning....all dressed in their new pjs
Here they are in random order

A wonderful time was had by all the kids....

Michigan Christmas

Our Christmas Eve happened on Monday night after Edgar returned from the hospital after having a kidney stone removed (ouch). He was a trooper, and stayed up to open presents....Before we started, we had a toast to a great year and for a great new year.
The kids were in bed, so we were able to relax and just enjoy being around adults and watch each other open presents.

Love this hat....
Mom and Dad - You are why we are who we are, we wouldn't be here with out you (literally), but we love you both and I am so proud that YOU are my parents....my kids have awesome grandparents, and I have awesome parents....Love you
More fun to come...

Lunn Family Christmas

Christmas at the Lunn house is never boring....we had a great time ALL day opening presents, playing games, and simply relaxing with each other. It is rare that we can just relax and enjoy each other's company any more, so this day was especially wonderful for that reason.
Of course, the kids were super excited about presents. We came home with a BUNCH of presents....more than we needed that is for sure, but we were so thankful for what we received.

I think this present was a pretty big hit with all the kids...I am just glad it went home with Cindy and not me...pretty sure it would have drove me nuts in my small house...
Chloe and Keira both scored a new dress up dress...both very excited to get changed after the presents were done.
Our Iron man...
Grandma got her snuggie, and the kids are now really going to want to snuggle with her even more!
Love this picture of Grandpa
The spouses.....

Thanks for a wonderful day! We had a blast!

Family Christmas

So, one last advent activity I failed to blog about....we had a sleepover in the family room.....I bought a tin of the three flavored popcorn, pulled all the cushions off the couch and the kids ate popcorn and watched a movie. Caleb decided that he wanted to sleep in his own bed, but the girls slept on the cushions....it was pretty cute :)
Christmas morning for us came a day early. Santa left 2 pillow pets and a DS game for my three little munchkins...the looks on their faces were priceless. I wonder if when they figure out who the real Santa is, they will thank him.....
We read the Christmas story before we opened our presents. The book needs new batteries, all the animals sounded sick.....and the baby, well, not what you would expect the baby to sound like....anyway, it got the job done.
Caleb raked in the game Trouble, a bee pillow pet, a lego city camper, and a tornado kit (which didn't end up working, so that was a bust)
Chloe got a strawberry shortcake splash and petal pool, a healthy snack baking kit for kids, a Rapunzel play set, and some books
Keira got a strawberry shortcake camping set, a Belle doll that sings, two stuffed animals, and a barbie car.
of course there were presents for us too....
Don't forget the stockings!!!
We had a great morning together...now on to Grandma Lunn's house for what is sure to be a great time!
