4th of July

Happy 4th of July.....

We spent the weekend out at Josh's uncle's lake house and had an absolutely fantastic time. The kids were so excited to get out on the water.

Chloe and I went for a jet ski ride and then pulled the tube behind us with Josh and Caleb on it. Keira went with me too, but she didn't get a picture taken.

We pulled this tube too and I really believe that those kids would have stayed on that tube all day if we would have let them

Chloe even snuck a ride with Uncle Jeremy. He even let her drive.

Chloe was hesitant at first to get in the water, but once I told her that her life jacket would keep her up, she was fine and had a great time.

Keira much preferred the land along with Victoria. They have a water fountain/feature that the kids liked to play in and this is where they are right now.

smoke bombs, sparklers, crackers, etc were all set off before we had the real deal fireworks.

Uncle Jerry grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, and brats which were all super yummy and cooked to perfection....Aunt Barb made potato salad and pea salad, we also had a veggie tray, fruit salad, broccoli salad, and oh so much food, I can't remember everything. It was all delish!

The rain made us come in for a few hours and the kids played games....

luckily, the weather calmed down and we were able to see the countless fireworks that the guys prepared for us. It was an amazing display as we could hear the neighbors across the lake cheering for the fireworks. We lathered up in bug spray, but still covered up with towels to ensure minimal bug bites and so far, I haven't seen any! Keira HATED the sound (we were only about 40 feet away from where they were shooting them off), but she loved seeing the fireworks, so Grandma covered her ears for her.

Pretty impressive, eh?

The rain didn't keep everyone off the lake....Quinn, Tanner and Caleb were real troopers, and they had an amazing time.

After a long day of fun in the water and the lake house, we went back to the hotel and well....need I say more?
